Jeff Davis County is the heart of Southern Hospitality, a place where you’ll feel right at
home within minutes of your arrival. Visitors can set up camp at Towns Bluff Park, put a
canoe in at the confluence of three major rivers, fish in the waters, hunt and watch for
birds and wildlife in thousands of acres of forest, taste the freshness of local field-grown
dishes, and shop for antiques and one-of-a-kind wares offered by hometown entrepreneurs.
Stroll and shop down our quiet Main Street, enjoy one of our many festivals or events, enjoy
nature's wonders during a day at the river, or just relax with friends and family. You are
invited to come back to the simpler things in life.
Make yourself at home and enjoy a slower pace of life, one that allows you to truly savor family, friends, and the natural world around you.
The Bullard Creek Wildlife Management Area and the Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center offer a multitude of opportunities for the outdoors enthusiast: deer and turkey hunting, boating and fishing, canoeing and kayaking, birdwatching and hiking – the possibilities are almost endless. RV and primitive camping is available at Towns Bluff Park along with picnic shelters and full restrooms.
We’ve collected information here for you on where to stay, where to eat, what to do, and where to shop. And if you’re looking for a pastoral setting for a wedding or family reunion, or just a friendly gathering, check out our venues.
